My hometowns are McNeil and Magnolia, Arkansas. While growing up, I sang in church and in elementary school Christmas programs. I played the alto saxophone while attending Magnolia Junior High and Senior High schools. After graduation, I attended and graduated from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia with a Bachelors of Music Education degree and an emphasis in instrumental music and later I acquired my choral music certification.
I've taught middle school through high school band in Texas and Arkansas for a total of 14 years. A few of those years include also teaching choir and elementary music. I’ve also been a substitute teacher and worked for a title company.
In 2010, I married Jeff Attaway and we moved to De Queen where he became the High School Band Director. We have a dog named Baby and a cat named Georgie. Our favorite places to visit are Walt Disney World, Washington DC, and Las Vegas.
